Checkmate Exercise a Success

CHECKMATE: 1 -‘Introduction to Integrated Emergency Management’

Checkmate 1 took place at Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters in Winsford
on Friday 14th October, 2011.

Over 100 practitioners attended the event  from many organisations including Police,
Fire, Ambulance, Local Authorities, Health Service, Environment Agency and a Media
Representative as well as many of our voluntary agency colleaues.

The event provided those attending with the fundamentals appropriate to their role in, or associated with, major/serious incidents.Checkmate attendees pic

The day was based on a realistic major incident occurring within a fictitious location.

Delegates as part of a multi agency syndicate work were given scenario feeds with questions posed to them relating to their perception of their own organisations involvement at that stage.

Following group specialists from each organisation gave an overview of expected actions from that agency at that stage of the incident.Checkmate members
