NHS Reveals Abuse of Emergency Services
NHS hospital and 999 teams have today revealed some of the more
unusual examples of
why people call on our
region’s emergency services. The move is part of a campaign to get
people to respect emergency services and reduce the growing
pressure on A&E and 999 teams.
A&E and 999 services are for life-threatening and emergency conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, breathing problems and serious accidents. Our hospital A&E teams deal with some of the highest numbers of people who have life-threatening conditions such as heart-attacks, strokes and lung disease in the country.
Choose Well is a North West wide communications campaign that aims to get people to use the right NHS service.
